Terms of Service

DRAFT — For Development Review Only. This page is a placeholder pending Legal sign-off on the items listed in the Pre-Launch Checklist (NLRC licence category, fund segregation, WHT treatment, platform fee disclosure, unclaimed winnings policy, chargeback clause). Do not treat as a binding agreement until finalised.

1. Eligibility

Puntr is available only to individuals aged 18 and over, ordinarily resident in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who complete registration and identity verification as required by their KYC tier.

2. Nature of the Service

Puntr operates a skill-based football prediction community platform. There are no fixed odds. Outcomes are determined by the relative accuracy of a user’s predictions against other members of the same Community, not by chance against the house.

3. Punter Wallet, Deposits & Withdrawals

The Punter Wallet maintains segregated Deposit and Winnings balances in accordance with NLRC fund segregation requirements. Withdrawal limits, KYC gating, and playthrough requirements are described in-app at /wallet.

4. Responsible Gambling

Self-exclusion, deposit limits, stake caps, cooling-off periods, and reality checks are available at /settings and described at /responsible-gambling.

5. Platform Fees

Puntr charges no joining fee, subscription, or premium-user fee. Our sole revenue is an 8% deduction from the Total Winnable Amount of each Community at settlement, before prizes are paid: a 7.8% Board Fee (platform service fee) and a 0.2% Compliance Reserve Fee (regulatory and compliance reserve held in a separate, ring-fenced account). The remaining 92% forms the Distributable Prize Pool, split 50% / 33.33% / 16.67% among 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. User-facing disclosure copy is subject to final Legal sign-off.

6. Unclaimed Winnings

[OPEN — 90-day dormancy policy pending Legal finalisation.]

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the National Lottery Act 2005, the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation 2019, the FCCPC Act 2019, and the Money Laundering (Prevention & Prohibition) Act 2022.
